January 19, 2017, Manassas, VA – Vanderpool, Frostick & Nishanian partnered with Matrix Computer Consulting to give a presentation on Cyber Security from a technological standpoint as well as a legal approach. Business owners from the area gathered at Okra’s Cajun Creole to enjoy breakfast and learn more about how cyber security can have a huge effect on their businesses. Andy Harrover of Matrix Computer Consulting started off the presentation with a thorough discussion on what the security trends are, how they can affect a business, and some startling facts, including that there is a market for cyber attacks. Although some of the statistics are frightening, it’s important for business owners to be aware of the threats that are more than likely to come their way.

From there, Andy handed over the presentation to  Randy Frostick of VF&N, who went over the legal aspects of security. Details like improper release of customer information, liability and legal risks regarding employees and outside sources. The attendees asked several questions and took notes to access in the future as they move forward with their business security strategy.
